51 years ago today the world tragically lost Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens and J. P. "The Big Bopper" Richardson (as well as pilot Roger Peterson) in a plane crash. Luckily we can always remember these three exceptionally talented individuals through their amazing music. Music that inspired many of the musicians and bands that would help shape the future of Rock'n'Roll.

I can't say The Uniform Project is 100% vegan but it is 100% amazing. Also a lot of upcycled, recycled and vintage materials are used and the money being raised goes to a great cause. You could as well donate a few vegan pieces of your own to the project to help make it more vegan, I know I plan to :).

I'm so ready to say good bye to 2009. It wasn't a horrible year but it also wasn't a great one and I'm hoping that this new decade will be amazing! Here are a few of my New Years Resolutions....

Grow my hair for Angel Hair. They make wigs for kids with cancer. I'm already half way there!
Plan a vegan, crafty and artsy farsty trip to NYC.
Exercises more!
Try to brown bag it to work at least 4 times a week.
Visit as many neighborhoods in Toronto as I can.
Save up money for a fabulous new bike. Vintage looking of course :).
Hangout more with my family & friends.
Take a screen printing class.
Start selling my silversmithing jewelry pieces on etsy.
Blog more!
Be creative & crafty for myself.
Learn to play my guitar.
Bake & cook more.
Read more!
Take part in either a summer or xmas craft fair.
Have fun!

It's been 65 years since D-Day. Thank you to those who had the courage to fight for our freedom. My grandfather was a tail gunner on a Lancaster Bomber during WW2 and is first row bottom right in the photo below. He was about 18yrs old when this photo was taken.
